ICOI Marriage Services Process

ICOI is honored and delighted to assist Muslims in fulfilling half of their Deen. To ensure a smooth and efficient process for your marriage ceremony, please follow the steps and guidelines outlined below:

  1. Submit the Marriage Request Form:

  2. Email the Religious Director:

    • Email Sh. Mustafa Umar at [email protected] with three potential dates for the marriage ceremony.

  3. Confirmation of Availability:

    • Await a response from Sh. Mustafa Umar to confirm his availability on one of the requested dates.

  4. Premarital Counseling:

    • If Sh. Mustafa confirms his availability, you can schedule a premarital counseling session with him using this link.

    • If you plan to have more than five attendees on your Nikah day, please also complete the Facility Request Form.

    • If Sh. Mustafa is unavailable on the requested dates, please reach out to another Islamic Center or Sheikh for your marriage officiation.

  5. On the Day of the Nikah:

    • The bride and groom must bring a marriage license from the county. For more information and to apply for a marriage license, please visit this website.

    • Two male Muslim witnesses are required.

  6. Location:

    • Nikahs performed by our Religious Director are held exclusively at ICOI and not at any off-site locations.

  7. Donations and Fees:

    • A recommended donation of $200 to ICOI’s General Masjid Operations is appreciated. This does not include any applicable rental fees.

  8. Secret Marriages:

    • Our Religious Director does not perform secret marriages.
