Youth Coordinator

Youth Coordinator Nurah Hamdi has a passion for Islamic knowledge and holds a B.A in Islamic Studies from Islamic University of North America, and she is currently seeking a B.A in Social Psychology. Nurah has served ICOI’s Sunday school as a beloved Islamic Studies teacher since its conception in 2014. She has also served as middle school youth group leader at Orange County Islamic Foundation, and has been working with youth for more than 5 years. She is enthusiastic about developing relevant Islamic education and enrichment opportunities for the youth. Nurah was born and raised in the U.S, and speaks both English and Arabic. She enjoys exploring all the beautiful sites in California with her husband, baking, watching documentaries, and she appreciates art, fast cars, and nature.

Adam Elfaraj
Youth Coordinator Adam Elfaraj is motivated to help the youth become the best Muslims they can be. He grew up in Irvine and attended Irvine High School. When he graduated in 2012, he attended the Culinary Institute of America and received a degree in Culinary Arts.  Upon completing school, Adam moved back to Irvine to enter the catering business.  Adam was determined to be more involved in his community, and so he became a volunteer youth mentor at ICOI in 2018.  After attending many fun and successful Youth Group sessions, Adam was hired as a Youth Coordinator at ICOI in 2019 . Adam enjoys cooking, watching basketball, movies, and learning about Islam.
