AIM Weekend School

Welcome to AIM, the weekend school at ICOI, where we strive to learn, reflect, and live! School is in session on Sundays.

Mission:

In partnership with parents, Islamic Center of Irvine will strive to provide an interactive Islamic educational program that promotes critical thinking and relates to students’ lives. The curriculum will be relevant, and embody Islam through in-depth teaching of the Quran and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It will promote character development and explain the reasoning for our Islamic practices to young American Muslims.

Vision:

Emerging students will know how and why they practice Islam, be able to read the Qu’ran at an intermediate level, as well as comprehend and apply some of the major themes and teachings of Qur’an. They will, inshAllah, be able to recognize their purpose, place, and identity in America as God-conscious, tolerant, and contributing citizens.

Program Goals

Serve students in Grades 1st – 8th

Teach Islam in a holistic, relevant, and engaging way

Reflect on the Qur’an and develop connections (to students’ lives)
