ICOI will be holding a Women's Health Seminar with guest speaker Dr. Nahid Hamoui. Beginning after Asr prayer (3:30pm) in our MultiPurpose Room, Dr. Hamoui will have a short talk on breast cancer awareness and screening followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions on women's health. Dr. Hamoui is a board certified general surgeon specialized in breast disease and practices locally in Irvine. All sisters are welcome to attend.

Ilm Bowl Preliminary Rounds

The Ilm Bowl is a team-building, iman-boosting, ilm-pumping, button-smashing competition extravaganza that aims to:

Strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood
Help gain understanding of Islamic knowledge
Build an attachment to the masjid
Bring participants closer to the Quran, the Sunnah, and Allah

This event is a showcase of qualifying rounds for local contestants to see who will move on to inter-masjid competition. Open event - viewers welcome!

Standing for Syria Qiyam

With over 6,000 killed and 200,000 imprisoned by the Assad regime, turmoil has continued to rise in Syria and no life has been spared. In light of troops now having moved into Damascus and violence escalating even further, the Southern California community has not forgotten those brothers and sisters who need us. As part of the efforts to do all we can for our family overseas, ICOI will be standing in Qiyam for Syria Friday, February 10th from 10:00pm - 1:00am with a special intention and dua'a for those oppressed and displaced by tyrannic rulers. We ask that every community member takes part so that our prayers are answered.

Instilling the Prophetic Adab in Your Children

Thursday, February 9th, Sister Abbake Omeira will be at ICOI to give a lecture on Instilling the Prophetic Adab in Your Children. Beginning immediately after Thuhr prayer (1:05pm) in our Multipurpose Room, this class is intended to help parents implant good-character, integrity, and Islamic values in children. This is an open lecture and is well worth any parent's time.

Wise Wives Respect Conference

The Orange County Wise Wives Club will be a holding a conference on respect in marriage on Sunday, February 5th at 4:00pm. Speakers include Noha Alshugairi, Yasmin Mogahed, and Megan Wyatt, and lectures will focus on how to build a successful marriage through Islamic guidance.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at ICOI.
