Class Details

ICOI's Weekend School**

During Saturday & Sunday school, children will learn all aspects of Islamic study (i.e. Qur`an, Hadith, Seerah, Dua`as, Islamic Manners) as well as tackle the Arabic language by practicing grammar, conversation, reading, vocabulary, and more!
Weekend School Director: Maha Ourfali
Class Timing: Saturdays (9/10/2011 - 6/9/2012) or Sundays (9/11/2011 - 6/10/2012) from 9am-2:00pm (dependent on registration)
Ages: 4-12 years old
Fee: $80/child/month

50+ Social Gathering Forum

This unique forum aims to address key topics that pertain to the elderly. This forum hopes to establish a much needed platform for ICOI's large and diverse crowd of older members. Let your voice be heard!

Forum Timing: First Saturday of every month from 3:00pm-5:00pm

Sister Sarah Ascha's Halaqa

A Halaqa dedicated to young ladies, this class is interactive and educational.  Covering a broad range of topics including Seerah, Tafseer, and Islamic standings on even current events, this class is best suited for sisters age 14-20.

Youth Tafseer & Seerah Class

A class geared towards Islamic identity and character building for our youth.  This class incorporates values from the stories of the Qur'an and Sunnah into every-day life.

Class Timing: Wednesday (Girls Only): 4-6pm
Friday (Boys Only): 4-6pm

Tafseer & Sunnah Class

This course covers topics such as tafseer, fiqh, sunnah, and the current affairs of Muslims around the world. English translation is available.

Class Timing: Tuesdays at 6:00pm

Sh. Mohamed Osman's Qur'anic Institute**

Focus on improving Qur'an reading & memorization. The sessions will cater to those who cannot read and who want to improve (these students will receive individual attention).

Ages: open to everyone starting at age 6
Class Timing: Mon-Thur 4:00pm - 7:30pm
Price: $100.00 per student per month

Post-Fajr Halaqah for Brothers

Held after Fajr prayer everyday (finishing 10-15 minutes after sunrise), the group of brothers recite pages from the Qur'an and explore Qur'anic tajweed rules.

Beginning Arabic and Qur'an for Adults

This is an introductory Arabic course intended for the working adult.  Focused on Qur'anic tajweed and recitation, this is the perfect class to step into understanding Islamic texts.

Class Timing: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Mommy & Me**

This is an interactive class for mothers and tots to spend time bonding and learning together.  The intent of this class to teach foundational values to children and build strong ties within families.

Class Timing: Tuesdays at 11:00am
Fee: $20 per child (6 weeks)

ICNA Sisters' Wing

A weekly Tafseer class for ladies looking to expand their Qur'anic knowledge.
Teacher: Sr. Farzana Ahmed
Class Timing: First and third Thursdays of the month at 11:00am

ICNA Sisters' Wing For Children

A weekly Tafseer class for children.
Teacher: Sr. Farzana Ahmed
Class Timing: First and third Saturdays of the month at 3:00pm

English As a Second Language

This is a course designed to build proficiency in conversational English.
Teacher: SCLC
Class Timing: Tuesdays from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

 

All classes are open to everyone. Those who wish to take classes marked (**) are required to fill out a registration form (available at the front desk) and pay a fee. Please check with the center for more information on fees, timings, etc… Timings are subject to change without notification.
