Ramadan 1431 (2010) Rules at ICOI
n an effort to promote a pleasant environment at ICOI during our Ramadan taraweeh program we are requesting members of the community to please observe the following policies which we are implementing.
- No children under 7 years will be allowed in the musalla (upper and lower prayer halls).
- All children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No exceptions.
- Adults with children 7 and under must pray in the designated spaces identified at ICOI.
- No smoking on the ICOI premises.
- Please turn off your cellphones during prayer times. It would be best if a habit was kept of doing this before entering the prayer areas.
- No gathering or talking in the lobby or outside the main entrance doors during prayer times.
- Please be considerate to those who are praying outside when leaving the masjid during prayer times.
- Please do not park in the businesses next door on Truman. Your car will be towed.
- No double parking at ICOI at any time. Do not park in a fire lane or park illegally.
- Please follow all directions given to you by staff, security and volunteers.
- Please respect all the volunteers and be kind and courteous to them. They are implementing policies for the ICOI Administration and your well being.
- Please place your shoes on the shoe racks provided. There are enough shoe racks, please try to keep your shoes off the floor.
- Please dress appropriately when coming to ICOI.
- Please be considerate of the prayer space you occupy, especially when using a chair. You may be obstructing and intruding upon another person's space.
- Please do not bring large purses and bags with you. These occupy unnecessary space and cause obstruction.
- Please do not bring food or drink into the prayer halls.
- Please use the minimum amount necessary for wudu and avoid wasting water and splashing. Remember, a Muslim leaves a place cleaner than he found it.
- No food or drink allowed in the prayer halls or classrooms.
